Motorcyclist In Critical Condition Following Pinellas Park Crash

A 67-year-old motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries following an accident Monday on U.S. 19.

PINELLAS PARK, FL — A 67-year-old motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries following an accident Monday on U.S. 19.

According to Pinellas Park police, at 8:40 p.m. Debra Felton, 58, of St. Petersburg was driving a Ford F150 pickup truck, making a left turn from southbound U.S. 19 into the parking lot of 9359 U.S. 19.

At the time, traffic in the middle lane was stopped, allowing Felton to make her turn.

A 2008 Suzuki motorcycle driven by David Hollis of Pinellas Park was heading north in the curb lane of U.S. 19. Felton's truck entered the curb lane, causing Hollis to change lanes to avoid a collision. Hollis laid down the bike and struck the truck's front end.

Felton was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. Neither speed nor impairment was a factor in the crash, police said.
