Motorcyclist Killed After Running Red Light In Pinellas Park
A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a sports utility vehicle Sunday at 49th Street North and 86th Avenue.
PINELLAS PARK, FL — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a sports utility vehicle Sunday at 49th Street North and 86th Avenue.
The motorcyclist, Matthew Wade, 38, of Georgia, died at the hospital.
Police said Wade was headed south on 49th Street North approaching the intersection of 86th Avenue at around 2:45 p.m. At the same time, Jose Jimenez, 53, of Pinellas Park was making a left turn from 86th Avenue to 49th Street North on a green light.

Police said Wade failed to stop at the red light and crashed into the SUV. Alcohol and speed were factors in the crash, police said.
Jimenez remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators. No charges are expected to be filed.
