PINELLAS PARK, FL — A motorcyclist sustained serious injuries during a three-vehicle crash Friday at the intersection of Park Boulevard and 40th Street.

According to police, Clayton Farley, 24, was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle through the intersection at 6:25 p.m. Friday when a Lexus driven by Christopher Kates, 31, turned in front of the motorcycle. Farley was ejected from the motorcycle and taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A third vehicle was also struck in the crash.

Police said Farley's speed may have been a factor in the crash. Witnesses said there was a second motorcycle involved as well. Anyone with information on the identity of the second motorcyclist should contact the Pinellas Park Police Department at 727-369-7864.
