Ohio Man Arrested After Being Found In Motel With 15-Year-Old

PINELLAS PARK, FL -- Pinellas Park Police have arrested a 31-year-old man after finding him in a motel room with a 15-year-old girl.

Acting on a warrant from Hamilton County, Ohio, police went to the Express Inn at 11333 U.S. 19 N. to search for an endangered Ohio teen girl. Officers located her inside a motel room with Raymond James Curtis of Hamilton County, who was arrested on charges of interfering with child custody and six counts of lewd and lascivious battery.

During the investigation, police discovered that Curtis had driven the 15-year-old girl, who he knew, down to Florida from Ohio a week ago. While staying in the motel, police said Curtis engaged in multiple sexual acts with the teen.

Police took the teen into protective custody and booked Curtis into the Pinellas County Jail.
