Photo Gallery: Halloween Egg Haunt

Children had a "spooktacular" time Saturday morning as they collected a bounty of Halloween eggs in the St. Pete Beach Pool.

ST. PETE BEACH- The haunt was on Saturday morning as about 80 children found orange and black eggs in the St. Pete Beach Aquatic Center Pool. The fall version of the recreation center's spring classic was in its second year. The pool remained open free for the afternoon.

Children lined up along the perimeter of the pool-- nets, pumpkins, and bags in hand vying for the best spot to scoop up as many of the 5,000 eggs as they could. They swam, ran, walked and bobbed through the orange and black sea of eggs. Then hauled their bounty back to land where they found plastic spiders and other Halloween loot.
