Pinellas County Tourism Breaking Records

Bed Tax Reports show that Pinellas County has made $3.14 million from revenue.

Pinellas County had a very strong month for tourism in March and that trend is continuing into the year.

Pinellas County received $3.14 million in bed tax revenue for the month of April,according to an article from Tampabay.com

This is the first time the county has broken the $3 million mark on bed tax revenue for April.

The increase follows the $4.5 million gathered in March, Pinellas County's best month in bed tax to date.

Bed tax is put onto hotels, motels and campgrounds and can show the strength of a tourism season.

The increased tourism this year leads into a strong season with the Republican National Convention upcoming.
