Pinellas Park Fire Dept. Announces Free Community CPR Classes
If you wait for first responders to arrive, that is already a 40 to 80 percent decrease in survival for the person needing help.
PINELLAS PARK, FL — First responders need your help to keep your family and friends alive. For every minute a person who is unconscious and not breathing is not receiving bystander CPR, his or her chance of survival decreases by 10 percent.

CPR is a very easy technique. The Pinellas Park Fire Department will offer free classes with a 12 to 15 students, teaching adult, child and infant CPR, choking relief, hands-only and AED-supported CPR with Pinellas Park Fire Department CPR instructors.

Face masks are recommended and the department will practice social distancing and provide a manikin for each student. Please do not show up if you have any cold or flu like symptoms.

Select a date from the dropdown menu and register for the class you are interested in. Please sign up individually with each person attending. Classes are free and you will receive a Basic Life Support Provider CPR certificate that is valid for two years from the American Heart Association.
This certificate will be electronic and will be sent to your email upon completion.
This BLS provider course will encompass basic CPR and AED usage, as well as in-hospital CPR. This certificate will suffice for any work-related CPR card requirements for basic CPR credentials. This CPR class is for both individuals with little to no medical training or those who currently work in a medical field. Certain jobs that might require a BLS provider card are:lifeguards, daycare workers, teachers, CNAs and any other basic life support professions.
You do not need to be a resident of Pinellas Park to attend.
