PINELLAS PARK, FL — Just in time for its Arbor Day observance on April 30, the city of Pinellas Park has been named a 2020 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management.

"The trees being planted and cared for by Pinellas Park are ensuring that generations to come will enjoy a better quality of life," Dan Lambe, president of the Arbor Day Foundation, said.

Pinellas Park Mayor Sandra Bradbury and the Pinellas Park City Council issued a proclamation celebrating the honor April 22, noting that the city is stepping up to do its part to save energy and protect air quality and water resources by emphasizing the planting of trees throughout the city.
