Pinellas Park Police Investigating Misconduct In Panhandle

Pinellas Park Police administration is investigating an allegation of potential misconduct by officers deployed to the Panhandle.

PINELLAS PARK, FL -- Pinellas Park Police administration is investigating an allegation of potential misconduct by several members of the agency who deployed to the Panhandle in support of Hurricane Michael recovery efforts on Oct. 26.

As a result of an initial inquiry, Chief Michael Haworth ordered an internal affairs investigation to determine the facts and circumstances of the allegation.

The investigation is administrative in nature and all employees currently remain on the job working their normal assignments. The investigation is in its preliminary stages and, in accordance with Florida statutes, no additional information will be released at this time.
