Pinellas Park Police Rescue Kitten From Storm Drain
Sometimes police work calls for a precarious rescue.
PINELLAS PARK, FL -- It's not just about catching bad guys and solving crimes for the Pinellas Park Police Department. Sometimes police work calls for a precarious rescue.
In this case, the hapless victim was a tiny kitten trapped in a storm drain at Park Boulevard and Belcher Road. When police responded to the call for help, they immediately spotted a little fur ball in the drain well out of reach.
Fortunately, Officer Cristin Hutchinson was petite enough to fit through the opening of the drain and reach the trapped kitten.
The kitten was promptly taken to a local emergency veterinarian where it was declared no worse for wear.
