Port Richey Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Granddaughter

A 51-year-old Port Richey man has been arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting his 13-year-old granddaughter at her home.

PINELLAS PARK, FL — A 51-year-old Port Richey man has been arrested after being accused of sexually assaulting his 13-year-old granddaughter at her Pinellas Park home.

Pinellas Park police arrested Terence Edwin Phillips of December Drive in Port Richey Thursday following an investigation that began Saturday.

On Feb. 20, Pinellas Park police were called to a home in the 6100 block of 110th Avenue North where a 13-year-old girl said she'd been sexually assaulted by her biological grandfather. Detectives learned that Phillips was staying with the girl and her family because he didn't have power in his Pasco County home.

The teen said the sexual assault took place during the early-morning hours Saturday.

Phillips was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual battery, a first-degree felony.
