Rain Doesn't Stop Voters in St. Pete Beach

Despite an early morning downpour of rain, voters still flocked to the polls in St. Pete Beach.

Voters in St. Pete Beach wouldn't let the rain stop them this morning as they hit the polls at the St. Pete Beach Recreation Center, 7701 Boca Ciega Dr.

The voters of St. Pete Beach came out packing umbrellas to keep dry while waiting to vote.

"Rain is to be expected," said voter Martin Smith.

In order to help keep people dry, the line for voting has moved underneath the breezeway for the St. Pete Beach Recreation Center.

Other than the rain, the voting process is running smoothly and the line isn't taking too long, Smith said.
