Scary Halloween Photos

Show us the scariest photos that you can take!

It's almost time for spooks and scares to become rampant on the streets with Halloween happening tomorrow.

One of my favorite activities to do on Halloween is to try and take deliberately scary and moody photographs, and I'd like to invite you to do the same.

Taking a scary photo doesn't necessarily mean taking a photo with scary objects, just creating a creepy atmosphere.

My three tips for taking a scary photo are

  1. Shoot black and white: The higher contrast you get from black and white helps to heighten the mood of a photo
  2. Choose desolate locations: The less people the better. Focus on your surroundings.
  3. Utilize shadows: Shadows are key in any photo, and they can really make a scary photo pop.

Got a great scary photo you'd like to show off? Post it here on Patch and see how chilling it is!
