Seabird Sanctuary Facing IRS and Department of Labor Review
The IRS has filed leins for $187,000 in unpaid payroll taxes against the Seabird Sanctuary.

The Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary is facing review from the IRS for unpaid payroll taxes and the Department of Labor is investigating possible violations of the Fair Labor Act, according to an article for TBO.com
There have been employees who have made claims of not being paid for weeks, according to the article.
Ralph Heath, founder of the Seabird Sanctuary, and Micki Eslick refused to comment.

Recently, Heath put out a notice for donations of $100,000 for food for the birds due to a fish shortage from the BP oil spill. Biologists at the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Insitute have said there has been no fish shortage this year.
