Three people have been arrested following a drug deal gone bad that culminated in beating the accused dealer with a ceramic mug.

PINELLAS PARK, FL -- Three people have been arrested following a drug deal gone bad that culminated in swinging a machete at the reported drug dealer and then beating him with a ceramic mug.

On Wednesday July 11, at about 2:30 p.m., Pinellas Park Police were called to 4701 80th Terrace N. after Bradly D'Andrea, 56, of Seminole reported that he'd been attacked.

D'Andrea told police that he had come to the Pinellas Park address to see about renting a room. While he was inquiring about the price, he said Mia Rose Calvert, 26, charged at him while swinging a machete. As he pushed her away, D'Andrea said Anthony Wayne Aleman, 42, of St. Petersburg approached him from the rear and placed him in a choke hold. When he struggled to free himself, D'Andrea said Calvert picked up a ceramic mug and beat him on the face and head.

D'Andrea didn't go to the home to rent a room. He went to sell heroin to the couple. An argument about money prompted Calvert to swing the machete at D'Andrea and then hit him with the mug. During the fight, Calvert reportedly took the drugs from D'Andrea and used them before fleeing.

Officers recovered D'Andrea's stolen wallet and confiscated his remaining drugs.

Aleman, who is on felony probation for drugs and armed robbery, was charged with armed robbery.

Calvert was charged with armed robbery and tampering with physical evidence.

And D'Andrea was charged with possession of crack cocaine, possession of heroin with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia.
