Seminole Man Charged With Manslaughter Following Fatal Crash

Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies have arrested James Wolf of Seminole following an investigation into the fatal four-vehicle crash.

SEMINOLE, FL -- Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested 60-year-old James Wolf of Seminole following an investigation into the fatal four-vehicle crash that killed a father and son in Seminole.

On July 28, Wolf was driving his 2005 Chevrolet SUV west on Park Boulevard, approaching the intersection of 104th Lane, when he failed to stop for a red traffic light and crashed into a 2001 Lexus driven by 59-year-old Edward Delzer of New Port Richey and occupied by his father 86-year-old Harvey Delzer of Madeira Beach.

Both Edward and Harvey Delzer died at the scene.

Investigators say Wolf had the distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath, showed signs of impairment and admitted to consuming alcohol prior to the crash.

The investigation revealed that Wolf's vehicle was traveling at approximately 82 mph at the time of the crash.
At about 6:25 p.m. on Aug. 14, deputies arrested Wolf at his home in Seminole. Wolf was transported to the Pinellas County Jail without incident and charged with two counts of DUI Manslaughter.
