St. Pete Beach Resort Completes $15M Improvement Project
The resort has a new pool and other upgrades.
From Sirata Beach Resort: St. Pete Beach’s iconic seaside escape, Sirata Beach Resort, completed its $15 million transformation with the highly anticipated reopening of Rum Runners Bar & Grille, private beachfront lanais, new breezeway and south pool area.
The resort’s new pool, lounging areas and upgraded dining option mark the final touches to Sirata Beach Resort’s full transformation that began earlier this year.
Perfectly situated on an award winning beach, Rum Runners’ new playful, open lounge area offers endless relaxation and the ideal spot to watch the sunset. The rustic bar maintains the light-hearted fun that has long been synonymous with the restaurant.

The addition of Adirondack chairs, cocktail tables, a fire pit and playful activities allow for extra enjoyment. Rum Runners’ new theme takes on a simple yet inviting design that compliments the resort’s overall coastal casual look and feel. A beach fire pit and lounge area, along with poolside cabanas and sun loungers create unlimited options for a laid-back stay guests of all ages can enjoy.
Guests can experience a menu of beachside favorites such as burgers and fresh seafood alongside classic libations, craft beers, and small bites all while enjoying live entertainment from local favorites. The resort’s new Beachwalk path allows guests to enjoy a coastal landscape while strolling from one end of the resort to the other. The walking area is surrounded by plant life that is native to the area (including Coastal Sea Oats, Beach Elder and Coastal Sea Rockets) for guests to enjoy while strolling or experiencing the new private lanais - perfect for sunbathing, catching the sunrise or sunset and overall optimal beach relaxation.

The breezeway patio, located at the north end of the walkway, creates the perfect spot for guests to take delight in the newly designed murals and tropical scenery.
