The Sunshine Skyway Bridge is a looming icon of Tampa Bay. It's one of the most recognizable landmarks in the Bay Area. It's tall, very very tall. 431 feet to be exact. It connects two county's at the mouth of Tampa Bay. Commuters hate it, it cost a ton of money and photographers love it!. It even fell down once tragically killing 35 people when a tanker ran into the bridge. I've been over a bunch of the United States big bridges, The Royal Gorge, The Golden Gate, and the Sky Way takes the cake for me. I've been driving over it now for 9 years and just now got to the point where my hands don't sweat as I cross it.
My location for today was the south side of the bridge.
This was another morning location, with my first shot at 6:00 a.m. Another early morning but well worth it. The water was calm and warm on Tampa Bay. Perfect for getting in the water and seeing what creatures would crawl across your foot in the dark.
See the exact location and the story behind the images in the link below.
