Talkback: Your Favorite Letters Follow-up

Last week, we here at Patch asked you to let us know about the best letters that you’ve gotten or sent out. Many of you let us know about your favorite experiences with the postal service. Here’s a few of the interesting responses we got.

“A very good friend of mine got me A Very Turtle Christmas this year. That was the best I got.” Darrel H. let us know about a rarer video one of his friends sent him for Christmas.

 “My kids got me a giant poster saying “Straight A Student Lives Here” and put it on my wall. Hillary O. was studying hard during her college finals and her kids gave her a poster in the mailbox to show their support.

“My first care package at college. It was sent to me on my birthday and reminded me of home.” Gina M. let us know about how her mom helped her get over homesickness with a bit of mail.

“A card I got from my Mom for my birthday. She passed away a few weeks later and it was the last letter I got from her.” Michael V. shared with us the last correspondence he had with his mother.

 “I sent a letter to my ex-husband to let him know that I was my own person and had moved beyond him.“ Jessica T. let us in on how she moved on from a divorce.
