Teen Dies Following Car Accident In Pinellas Park
Pinellas Park Police are investigating an accident on 49th Street North that killed a 17-year-old St. Petersburg teen.

PINELLAS PARK, FL – Pinellas Park Police are investigating an accident on 49th Street North that killed a 17-year-old St. Petersburg teen.
According to police, the accident occurred Wednesday, March 7 around 8 p.m. at 49th Street North and 70th Avenue North.
A red 2001 Ford F-150 driven by Walter H. Fulford, 71, was heading north on 49th Street in the westbound turn lane to 70th Avenue just as the signal at the intersection turned yellow.

At the same time, a white 2012 Mazda 5 driven by Teo Kulic, 17, was heading south on 49th Street in the center lane, approaching 70th Avenue and a yellow traffic signal.
According to police, both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time and collided.

Kulic was taken to an area hospital where he later died. Fulford sustained serious injuries.
Police say impairment does not appear to be a factor in the crash, however, they are still investigating.
