Trails End Motel Becomes Treasure Island Ocean Club Under New Ownership
Undergoing renovations and set to open fully in late August, the Treasure Island Ocean Club has 14 rooms now available for beach rentals.
Treasure Island Ocean Club is undergoing renovations, with a projected completion date set for late August.
It is under new ownership and occupies the space where Trails End Motel & Apartments used to be right on the beach in Treasure Island, at 11500 Gulf Blvd.
“The former owner I think was just ready to let somebody else come in and fix it up,” front desk manager Crystal Andrews said.

The hotel’s new owner has other properties in the area, including Belleair Beach Club, which underwent full renovations last year.
After renovations are completed, there will be 54 rooms, a resurfaced deck and pool area and an updated office location with breakfast nook and seating area. Rates are expected to range from $100 to $159 and will depend on the season.

Part of the building is still available to the public, and the pool is expected to open in the next few weeks. Currently 14 rooms are available for a flat rent rate of $79.
Plans for a tiki bar and other innovative additions to the space have been discussed, but nothing official has been approved or is in the works.
