Pair Nabbed in Kidnapping, Robbery at Crabby Bill's on St. Pete Beach

Two workers were robbed at gunpoint. One of the worked was tied up and placed in the trunk of a car.

Two men were arrested earlier today on charges of kidnapping, armed robbery and false imprisonment, according to a report from St. Beach Police.

Reginald Robinson and Floyd Butler approached a Crabby Bill's employee in the parking lot in St. Pete Beach at 1:07 a.m., police said.

Robinson was carrying a semi-automatic handgun; both Robinson and Butler punched and kicked the victim numerous times while in the parking lot, according to the police report.

They then tied the employee's hands behind his back, and placed him into the trunk of his car.

During this encounter, the subjects threatened to shoot the victim numerous times if he didn't hand over money, according to police.

Investigators said that:

After several minutes, Robinson and Floyed removed the employeee from the trunk of the car and walked him at gunpoint toward the front of the restaurant.

While walking towards the front door, the suspects confronted a seoncd victim, whom they also held at gunpoint.

Both victims were robbed of cash and other personal items. Robinson and Floyd also gained access to the restaurant and stole money from the manager's office.

Robinson and Floyd both fled on foot and were soon apprehended by the St. Pete Beach Police Department. 

Robinson and Floyd are both being charged with kidnapping, armed robbery, and false imprionment.

Robinson is also facing a charge of removal of a firearm serial number.
