Video: Indian Rocks Beach Flag Retirement
Indian Rocks Beach sets aside flag day for learning about the U.S. flag and what it stands for.
Indian Rocks Beach’s Flag Retirement Ceremony at Chic-A-Si Park Tuesday celebrated Flag Day by displaying to properly dispose of a U.S. flag and honor it.
The day’s events included patriotic performances from the musical group, A Class Act, a pledge of allegiance led by Boy Scout Troop #431 and a flag folding demonstration from members of the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
Two members of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #10094 led the disposal of the flag in the manner set forth by the General Service Administration, by burning it in a dignified fashion.
