Weekend on the Beach: August 26-28

Have some kids who want time to themselves? Check out the  for kids in first through fifth grades at the St. Pete Beach Rec Center, and let them enjoy a night away from parents. The party starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m.

 will be going on tonight from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Enjoy the sunsets with an art festival fun for the whole family. Music, drum circles and fire dancing highlight the Corey Sunset Celebration.

For those looking to hit the town and party, the e has you covered on Saturday night. Their  turns the lounge into a nightclub to get people on their feet. There’ll be a live dj spinning new music throughout the night. The party gets started at 10 p.m.

If keeping it low-key is your cup of tea, check out thethis weekend. There’s no specific event, but it makes for a great get away. Since Irene is bypassing us, it should be a beautiful weekend to get out From exploring the park, to walking along the water, Sand Key is the place to take it slow and easy. The park is free but remember to bring a little bit of cash for parking. 

Got an instrument and itching to jam? Check out the at Treasure Island Sunday at the Lion’s Club. Everyone is welcome to come and the event is free. Be sure to bring your favorite dish with your instrument as the party is a potluck.
