Weekend on the Beach: July 29-31

Looking for something to do this weekend? Check these great events will have you covered for the weekend.

  1. Solag Skim School on Madeira Beach is ending with a competition on the water Saturday morning at 9 a.m. It’s a good chance to go check out how the pros work skimboards. The event is free to watch. The event is happening across the street from John's Pass.

  2. Are you in the mood to see up and coming comedians. Treat yourself with Coconut’s Stand-Up Comedy Competition at the Coconut’s Comedy Club in St. Pete Beach. The competition is finishing up and will have contestants going on tonight and tomorrow night at 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $18.

  • Have some kids who want time to themselves? Check out the  for kids in first through fifth grades at the St. Pete Beach Rec Center, and let them enjoy a night away from parents. The party starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m.

  • Mary Wilson of the Supremes will be at the Club at Treasure Island this Saturday at 9 p.m. For any old-school Motown fans, the tickets cost $45.

  • If you want a fun day for the whole family, check out the at the St. Pete Beach Rec Center on Sunday. There’ll be music, food, games and a lot of fun in the pool. The event starts at noon and is free.
