Weekend on the Beach: September 23-25

Support our local designers and get out there to help our parks!

Looking for something to do this weekend? Check these great events will have you covered for the weekend.

1. Tonight's Tampa Bay Fashion Week Finale will feature designs from the St. Pete Beach store, . Though it's a bit far from the beach, nothing beats getting out there to help support local designers. Doors open at 6 p.m. at the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor and tickets are $65. Buy your tickets and get more information online.

2. Pinellas County Schools are celebrating their Centennial with a relay race across the Pinellas Trail. The event starts at 10 a.m. and you can get out to support all the runners at different spots along the trail. For more information and places to watch, .

3. Saturday is National Public Lands Day! It's a great time to give back and reconnect with some of the great parks and areas within Tampa Bay. One of the beach-iest of the organized events is going on at Fort De Soto and is a trash pickup on the shoreline. ad it's just a matter of which one you want to participate in.

4. If you're looking to be a bit more sporty this weekend, check out the Kickin' Sand Beach Kickball tournament at the. The games will be going on Saturday and Sunday. If you want to participate, you have to pre-register a team on the website, or you can just kick back and enjoy the games.

5. If you have kids, and they want to have a night out alone (and ou do too!), Check out the  for kids in first through fifth grades at the , and let them enjoy a night away from parents. The party starts at 6 p.m. and goes until 9 p.m.
