What not to say on social networking sites.

A large number of social networking web site users unknowingly  put themselves at risk. The Facebook,Twitter and MySpace web sites make it seem like you are chatting with only your closest friends, But,there could be identity thieves, burglars or stalkers checking you out!!
Rob Douglas, an information security consultant in Colorado, suggests the following precautions:
Do not disclose your addresses or birth dates;
graduation from high school or college dates are also bad;
be leary of listing your business contact's names;
your Mother's maiden name could also be used to locate you;
Pet names is also a possible security concern;
 be careful of giving out times or dates of vacations or when you may be away from you home;
do not discuss your expensive jewelry, art or antiques;
and be careful not to reveal your Dentist, Doctor or Health Care provider-
Think about how someone could easily take any of the above information and use it against it. Be smart and safe!!!!
