Woman Killed While Walking Down Sidewalk In Treasure Island

TREASURE ISLAND, FL — A 55-year-old man has been charged with DUI manslaughter after being accused of crashing into and killing a woman who was walking on the sidewalk on Gulf Boulevard Saturday night.

Detectives are asking anyone with any information, cellphone or dash-cam video from this crash to contact Cpl. Jon Dobson at 727-580-4505.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, at 10:29 p.m. 46-year-old Andrea Hamilton was walking north on the sidewalk near 10086 Gulf Blvd. when a GMC Sierra driven by Mark Walters left the road and struck Hamilton on the sidewalk. She was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.

Deputies said Walters showed indications of being impaired. He was arrested and taken to the Pinellas County Jail where he remains on $50,000 bail.
