14-Year-Old Tampa Girl Injured In Random Shooting On I-4 In Plant City
This is the second random shooting on this section of Interstate 4 this year.

PLANT CITY, FL — A 14-year-old girl is in stable condition after being shot while riding as a passenger with her father in their car on Interstate 4 Friday.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 10:40 p.m., a 37-year-old Tampa man was heading west on I-4 near Branch Forbes Road when the passenger side of his 2017 Volkswagen Jetta was struck by two bullets, one of which penetrated the car door and struck his daughter's leg.
The teen was taken to the hospital, where she's in stable condition.

On Feb. 18 at 9:12 p.m., a couple was shot while driving on I-4 through Plant City.
The man driving the car was taken to the hospital in critical condition and the woman passenger, 29-year-old Elizabeth Barbara Arrieta, was pronounced dead.
Police are still searching for the Toyota Prius involved in that shooting.
