2nd Man Dies Following Dispute At Plant City Family Business

PLANT CITY, FL -- Another man has died following a dispute at Bliss Enterprises of Plant City Inc., 3940 E. Knights Griffin Road, Plant City.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, William C. Duncan, 43, died Monday, March 12, at Lakeland Regional Hospital, just hours after the owner of the business, Richard Paul Bliss, 59, shot him.

Deputies responded to a call about a shooting at Bliss Enterprises around 4 p.m. on Monday. According to witnesses, Bliss was arguing with Duncan and another man in the office when he pulled out a gun and opened fire.

A relative waiting outside the building heard the shots. According to the sheriff's office, he ran in with his own gun and shot Bliss, who died at the scene.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's Col. Donna Lusczynski said the men had been living on the property of the family business that specializes in building barns and garages. Bliss had been in an ongoing dispute with the men who he had asked to leave the property.
