• Tampa Legals 9/3/26 (cltampa.com) — Residents who rent at Compass Self Storage on South Frontage Road in Plant City should know that units with unpaid liens are scheduled for online public auction on September 11. Bidders must pay in cash and remove any purchased items immediately, as the facility reserves the right to refuse bids or adjourn the sale.
   

• FSU baseball lands commitment from in-state infielder (usatoday.com) — A standout Plant City High School infielder has verbally committed to play baseball at Florida State University, showcasing local talent on a big collegiate stage. The sophomore posted strong hitting and pitching stats last season, giving Plant City fans someone to watch as his high school career continues and his path toward Division I baseball unfolds.
   

• 3 Polk County truck-driving schools shut down by Trump Administration (theledger.com) — A1 CDL LLC, based on Miley Road in Plant City, is among three truck-driving schools serving Polk County that were ordered to halt operations in a federal crackdown on alleged commercial license fraud. The Trump Administration says dozens of schools nationwide improperly helped drivers who couldn't pass English proficiency requirements, leaving many local trainees suddenly without a path to complete their CDL training.
