• Hillsborough County Homeowners Can Now Tap Into Funds For Essential House Repairs (tampafp.com) — Plant City homeowners who meet income and residency rules can now apply for Hillsborough County funding to fix serious safety, structural, or accessibility problems in their homes. The Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program, run by Affordable Housing Services, targets essential repairs rather than cosmetic upgrades and may even cover full reconstruction in extreme cases. Applications are open online, with staff available to answer questions.
• Top 25 Corvette Dealers in 2026 Include Some Familiar Names (corvetteforum.com) — Plant City's Stingray Chevrolet has cracked the national top 10 Corvette dealers, ranking eighth with 102 sales through July 2026. The list, dominated by big-name stores around the country, underscores how strongly the local dealership competes in performance car sales and could draw more enthusiasts and business into the Plant City area.
• Wedgworth Leadership Institute for Agriculture and Natural Resources announces Class XIII (ufl.edu) — A Plant City-based Grimes Produce representative has been selected for a prestigious two‑year statewide agriculture leadership program run by UF/IFAS. The Wedgworth Leadership Institute's Class XIII will travel across Florida, Washington, D.C., and abroad, building skills and connections that could ultimately benefit local farms, agribusinesses, and natural resource efforts tied to Plant City's economy.
