• Florida homeowners can tap new repair fund for leaks, faulty wiring, and accessibility upgrades (thecooldown.com) — Plant City homeowners with low to moderate incomes can now apply for Hillsborough County's Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program, which helps pay for serious home repairs and accessibility upgrades. The program can cover roof, electrical, plumbing, structural, and weatherization work, and even rebuild homes in severe cases. Applications are open online through Affordable Housing Services, which can also answer questions by phone or email.
   

• Plant City Man Dies After Pickup Truck Overturns Off State Road 60 (tampafp.com) — A 23-year-old Plant City man died Sunday after his pickup overturned off State Road 60 near Smith Ryals Road in eastern Hillsborough County, according to state troopers. Investigators say he lost control, crossed the median, and flipped into a tree line; he later died at a local hospital. No other vehicles or passengers were involved, and the cause remains under investigation.
