Pedestrian Killed By More Than 5 Vehicles That Struck Him On Interstate
Tuesday morning was filled with massive delays for drivers who take Interstate-4 eastbound in Hillsborough County because of a fatal crash.

PLANT CITY, FL — Update: A 48-year-old Orlando man was hit by at least seven cars Tuesday morning as he walked across Interstate 4 eastbound, according to Florida Highway Patrol investigators.
The crash had eastbound lanes of I-4 closed until 12:40 p.m.
No drivers were injured in the wreck.

Update: A pedestrian was hit by several vehicles as they walked in the travel lanes of Interstate 4 eastbound at 5:37 a.m., Florida Highway Patrol said.
A medical examiner pronounced the person dead at the crash location.
The vehicles hit the victim near the Thonotosassa exit, according to troopers.
All eastbound lanes of I-4 are blocked as of 7:17 a.m. Tuesday morning, Steve Gaskins, police information officer, said in an email.
FHP is advising drivers to seek alternate routes and expect delays.

Vehicles have been at a complete stop along I-4 eastbound as Florida Highway Patrol investigates the wreck.
