Lakeland Woman Dies Following Crash On SR 60

PLANT CITY, FL -- A 77-year-old Lakeland woman has died following an accident Tuesday on State Road 60 west of Luckasavage Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the woman was driving a Nissan Sentra east on SR 60 at 11:13 a.m. While attempting a lane change, she lost control and traveled across the center grass median, colliding with a Chevrolet Cruz driven by Sabrina Rae Eldridge, 24, of Mulberry.

Edridge was taken to Tampa General Hospital in serious condition.

The name of the Lakeland woman has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
