Plant City Detectives Search For Machete-Wielding Robber

PLANT CITY, FL – Plant City Police detectives are hoping someone can help lead them to the arrest of a machete-wielding robber.

On Tuesday, Feb. 20, at 2:52 a.m., a man armed with a machete walked into the Circle K gas station at 1514 Alexander St S. in Plant City and demanded money from the store clerks. After receiving the cash, he fled on foot.

The robber is described as white, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater that zips up the front, black pants and shoes, a black headband with a green marijuana leaf on the front and a black bandanna covering his face.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the robber.
