Plant City Man Accused In Armed Robbery Of Middle School Student
A 25-year-old Plant City man was arrested after being accused of robbing a student at gunpoint near Turkey Creek Middle School on Dec. 9.

PLANT CITY, FL -- A 25-year-old Plant City man was arrested after being accused of robbing a student at gunpoint near Turkey Creek Middle School on Dec. 9.
According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, the victim picked Cody Leon Henderson from a lineup this week. Henderson was charged with burglary, child abuse and false imprisonment.
According to deputies, Henderson approached the victim as he was on his way to school at about 8 a.m. Dec. 9. The two began talking and, during the conversation, Henderson reportedly produced a gun, placed it on the victim's torso and told the victim to unlock his cell phone and hand it over.

After Henderson left the area, the student notified Turkey Middle School personnel, and they called the sheriff's office.
Henderson was taken to the Hillsborough County Jail where his bond was set at $54,000.
