Plant City Man Dies Following Motorcycle Crash

PLANT CITY, FL – A Plant City motorcyclist died from injuries sustained in a crash on Florida Avenue and 131st Avenue in Tampa.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Samuel A. Lougheed, 23, of Plant City was driving his Yamaha motorcycle north on Florida Avenue around 9:10 a.m. Saturday, June 2, when a car driven by Darlene D. Hamilton, 62, of Tampa turned left at 131st Street into Lougheed’s path.

Lougheed was ejected from the motorcycle which overturned into a water-filled ditch.
