Plant City Police Seek Driver In Fatal Hit-And-Run Accident

The Plant City Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify the driver of an SUV involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident.

PLANT CITY, FL -- The Plant City Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify the driver of an SUV involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident.

On Sunday, Dec. 2 at 10:55 p.m., three men were walking on State Road 574 just east of the Fuego Bar & Grille, 4103 W. S.R. 574, Plant City, when they were struck by an SUV, which sped off, traveling east on S.R. 574.

Miquel A. Hernandez Jr., 21, of Plant City died from his injuries. The other two men, ages 20 and 21, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.

The vehicle that struck them may be a Cadillac Escalade, a Chevrolet Tahoe or a GMC Yukon made between 2007 to 2014. It is a pearl white metallic color and has damage to the turn signal and side-view mirror.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the suspect in this case.
