Reward Offered For Information On Serial Walgreens Robber

​Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is asking for the public's help to find a man responsible for a string of robberies at Walgreens stores.

PLANT CITY, FL -- Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is asking for the public's help to find a man responsible for a string of robberies at Walgreens stores.

On Aug. 31 at a Walgreens in Plant City, the robber was caught on video trying to grab money out of the cash register. In the video, he approaches the cash register to purchase a bottle of water, hands the clerk money to pay for it and, when the register opens, he reaches over the counter to try and grab cash from the open drawer.

The woman behind the counter grabs at his hands as he reaches for the money. Police said the robber fled the store with an undisclosed amount of money and got into a dark-colored two-door vehicle.

Police said the robbery Sept. 6 at a Walgreens in Temple Terrace. There were also robberies using the same scenario in the Orlando area over the past two weeks.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $3,000 for information leading to the identification and arrest of the robber.
