Plant City Trash Bash to Host Earth Day Cleanup Event on Boot Bay Rd This Saturday

Grassroots cleanup effort has already removed 1,150 pounds of litter from local roadsides

PLANT CITY, Fla. — Plant City Trash Bash is inviting the community to join an upcoming Earth Day cleanup event on Boot Bay Rd this Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The event is part of Plant City Trash Bash’s ongoing mission to fight litter, restore pride in local roadways, and bring the community together through direct action. Since launching, the organization has already helped remove 1,150 pounds of litter from Plant City area roadsides.

The Boot Bay Rd cleanup gives residents an opportunity to make a hands-on difference while supporting a cleaner, stronger, and more beautiful community.

“Plant City Trash Bash was built on the idea that change starts with action,” the organization said. “This is about more than picking up trash. It is about community pride, environmental responsibility, and showing that people still care enough to step up and do the work.”

Volunteers of all backgrounds are welcome to participate. All cleanup supplies will be provided. Participants are encouraged to wear closed-toe shoes and come prepared to work outdoors.

Plant City Trash Bash continues to grow through local volunteer support, community partnerships, and donations that help fund bags, gloves, grabbers, safety supplies, and other cleanup needs.
