Winter Haven Man Killed On I-4 After Car Overturns Multiple Times

PLANT CITY, FL — A 33-year-old Winter Haven man was killed in a crash just after midnight Saturday on Interstate 4 approaching County Line Road.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at 12:15 a.m., a car driven by the Winter Haven man and a car driven by a 29-year-old Orlando man were headed east on I-4. The Winter Haven man attempted to change lanes while passing the Orlando man's car and lost control.

Troopers said the Winter Haven man's car rotated in the center median, struck a guardrail and overturned multiple times. The driver was thrown from the car and died at the scene.
