• Pompano Beach dentist prepares for another day of giving free dental services to South Florida's veterans (newpelican.com) — A Pompano Beach dental office is again offering a full day of free care to South Florida veterans on Oct. 16, covering services like exams, cleanings, fillings, and even root canals when needed. With few veterans qualifying for VA dental benefits, Dr. Brian Rask's team uses Freedom Day USA to give back and invites veterans to call now to book appointments.
   

• Jazz Fest Pompano Beach Returns April 16 & 17 2027! (sfltimes.com) — Pompano Beach residents can already mark their calendars for Jazz Fest Pompano Beach, returning April 16–17, 2027 as a free, on-the-sand music festival just south of the Fisher Family Pier. Expect nationally known jazz, funk, and soul artists, local performers, food, and VIP options, with full lineups and details coming soon via Pompano Beach Arts channels.
   

• Bicyclist killed last month in Pompano Beach hit-and-run identified; driver unknown (sun-sentinel.com) — Authorities have identified the bicyclist killed in an August hit-and-run on Northwest Sixth Avenue in Pompano Beach as 71-year-old resident Jacob Robinson, and the driver still hasn't been found. Investigators say his bike showed clear signs of being struck and are offering a reward up to $5,000. Residents with any information are urged to contact BSO or Broward Crime Stoppers.
