• Clean Slate: Palm Valley Cleaning Company Offering Free Services to Cancer Patients (sjcitizen.com) — Cancer patients living in Ponte Vedra Beach and nearby communities can now apply for free home cleanings from Two Maids of Palm Valley through the nonprofit Cleaning for a Reason. The local franchise will serve up to two patients a month, each receiving two monthly cleanings over two months, regardless of age, gender, or cancer type. It's meant to ease daily burdens so families can focus on treatment and rest.
   

• Obituary: William Wister, Jr. (greenwichsentinel.com) — A memorial service for William "Bill" Wister Jr. will be held at Christ Episcopal Church in Ponte Vedra Beach on Thursday, October 1, at 11 a.m. Bill, whose mother and sister live in Ponte Vedra Beach, died August 1 in Jacksonville Beach after a brief battle with cancer. He is remembered for his kindness in customer service and his lifelong love of music and New York sports.
