• 2 years after hurricanes, Safety Harbor pier reopens to much fanfare (tampabay.com) — Safety Harbor's Fire Marshal Dick Brock Memorial Pier is officially back open nearly two years after hurricanes Helene and Milton forced its closure, drawing eager crowds even before the formal ribbon-cutting. Residents and visitors are already fishing, sightseeing, and revisiting memories along the 420-foot pier, which has anchored the city's waterfront since the late 1800s and remains a beloved community gathering spot.
