SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — The Department of Health in Sarasota County has 1,000 doses of the coronavirus vaccine to distribute at its office at 2200 Ringling Boulevard in Sarasota Wednesday, according to an email from Sarasota County Emergency Services.

The appointments are being offered to 1,000 people signed up through the county’s new Everbridge vaccination registration system, which created a vaccination queue. Those registered to receive a vaccination, will remain on the list until doses become available. Then, they'll be contacted by the county to set up an appointment.

"Once you register into this system, you will go into a queue, so you don't have to register again," Steve Huard, DOH public information officer said during a previous press conference.
