1 Killed, 1 Injured In Shooting At FL Home
Two people were shot, one fatally, in a shooting at "a large gathering" at a Sarasota home early Saturday, the sheriff's office said.
SARASOTA, FL — A fatal shooting at “a large gathering” at a Sarasota home early Saturday morning is under investigation, authorities said.
Deputies responded to a disturbance at the home in the 2200 block of Hammock Place just before 3 a.m., according to a Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office news release.
They learned that two people were shot during an altercation at the home.

One of the victims died from his injuries, the sheriff’s office said.
The shooting is believed to be an isolated incident with no ongoing threat to the community.
