1 Killed, 2 Injured In Unrelated Sarasota Shootings Saturday: Sheriff
The Sarasota County Sheriff's Office is investigating 2 unrelated shootings that killed 1 person, injured 2 others in Sarasota on Saturday.
SARASOTA, FL — A man was killed and two other people were injured in two unrelated shootings Saturday in Sarasota, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office shared on Facebook.
The first shooting, an isolated incident, happened around 11:40 a.m. in a home in the 2300 block of Britannia Road. A 47-year-old man was killed in this incident, SCSO said.
Detectives identified a suspect and were looking for him Saturday afternoon.

The second shooting was reported around 2:50 p.m. after two people arrived at a Sarasota-area hospital with gunshot wounds, the sheriff’s office said.
Investigators believe an altercation on 32nd Street in Sarasota led to the shooting, which is an isolated incident, detectives said. As of Saturday afternoon, no suspect was in custody.
