15 Child Porn Charges For Sarasota Man

Sarasota Police say the 59-year-old man had numerous pornographic images of children in his possession, including two involving bondage.

Sarasota, FL — A 59-year-old Sarasota man faces a number of felony charges following an investigation into his alleged online activities.

According to the Sarasota Police Department, the agency received three different tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about online activity originating from a home on Osprey Avenue. Acting on those tips, Sarasota Detective Megan Buck obtained a search warrant.

The warrant at John Michael Pyle’s home was served at 6:45 a.m. Friday. Police say Pyle lives alone.

When detectives from the police department and Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office began previewing computer and cellphone equipment seized from Pyle’s home, they found two images of children in bondage situations, 15 images of sexual conduct and 31 images of child pornography with no sexual conduct, an arrest report stated.

Pyle was charged with 15 counts of possession of child pornography. More charges are pending the investigation’s outcome.

Pyle was being held in the Sarasota County Jail Friday afternoon without bond.
