2 Busted in Prostitution Sting

Two men face criminals charges after Sarasota Police Department officers say they caught them in the act of soliciting prostitutes.

The agency’s latest prostitution sting was conducted in the 4200 block of North Tamiami Trail and at Whitaker Park on Wednesday.

Those arrested were:

• David Gomez, 48, of 312 60th Ave. E. in Bradenton
• James T. Barden, 57, of 8119 Santa Rosa Court in Sarasota

Both men face solicitation of prostitution charges. They both were booked into the Sarasota County Jail Wednesday and later bonded out in lieu of $120.
